Huckleberry's 2024 fleece ~ CVM ~ 1 lb ~ low vm

Huckleberry's 2024 fleece was coated and these  2 bags are filled with the parts of the fleece that stuck out under the coats.  They are beautiful, but need some cleaning.  There will be some, but little, vm.  Locks are mostly 9 to 10 cm (3.5-4") in length.

Huckleberry is a CVM which is a specific breed that developed from crossing a Rambouillet merino with a Romney.  The result is perfection...long locks of super soft fibre.  Huckleberry grows a lot of this fabulous wool!  Often his annual shearing is close to 10 lbs of usable fibre.  

Huckleberry is our gentle giant.  He is wethered (neutered) so all his energy goes into creating beautiful wool.  He keeps the rams company along with his cousin, Bubba.  Huckleberry's wool is surprisingly soft and bouncy...a handspinner's dream.  With a little cleaning, this wool is sure to please.

*This is a raw fleece, meaning it is unwashed.  It has not been picked and may contain bits of vm and some second cuts.  It is packaged to prevent moth damage.  It is up to you to scour your fleece.
