Peggy-O's fleece 2024 ~ 3/4 Gotland x Shetland+BFL ~ 3.5 lbs ~ medium vm

Peggy-O's lamb fleece has tremendous potential for the handspinner ready to roll up their sleeves.  She has dark charcoal coloured locks with sunkissed brown tips.  There are some matted bits but these come apart with a little work.  Locks are amazingly 12 to 13cm long, owing to Peggy-O's Gotland genes.

While Peggy-O's fleece has great potential, there has been a very light skirting, so please expect medium vm.  A lot of this will fall out easily with processing and spinning, but it is good to know that there is vm present, and is reflected in a lower price range.

Gotland sheep trace back to Sweden and grow long locks that resemble mohair wool.  Gotland locks spin up into a soft, drapey yarn that lends itself well to shawls and cowls.  It truly transforms from a longwool type fibre into a silky spun yarn.  Combined with the Gotland breed, Peggy-O also has Shetland and BFL genes that make her fleece a beautiful combination of wonderful spinning fibres.
